Circle of Care Celebrates Retired Public Defender Larry Alvarez

On Monday, March 13th, COC celebrated the retirement of Larry Alvarez, Public Defender of youth in Passaic County. In recognition of Mr. Alvarez’s decades of service, CEO Cynthia Heller presented him with a plaque “In recognition of your ongoing support of youth and the Care Management Organization of Passaic County, Circle of Care wishes you the best in your retirement.”

During the celebration, the impact the Care Managers had on Larry and vice versa was evident. Longtime staff stood and thanked him for his fierce advocacy for agency youth in the court room. Mr. Alvarez expressed gratitude for his time working with Circle of Care and said that he could not have been an attorney as long as he had without the agency staff.
