Circle of Care ’22-’23 Winter Update

We love winter holidays at Circle of Care! Our staff work tirelessly year round to help our families and community, but the holidays bring out their generous spirit even more. 

In November 2022, solely due to the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we were able to provide 250 of our families (and a total of approximately 1072 individuals) across Passaic County with a turkey or pork shoulder and all the trimmings for a Thanksgiving meal.
Our special thanks to our amazing staff, who on top of their daily responsibilities and commitment to our youth and families also moved mountains to ensure that our food drive was successful. In the 2 weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, Circle of Care staff, members of our Board of Trustees, volunteers from the community and our system partners were hard at work ensuring that food donations were sorted, bagged and delivered to all registered families.

COC did not stop at Thanksgiving, hosting a movie night at the Cinemark in Wayne with Family Support Organization of Passaic County and holding our annual Toy Drive. Good nights were had by all – even the Grinch!

Our Community Resource Department hosted Circle of Care’s first Winter Coat Drive this past January. Over 100 donated coats were distributed to Circle of Care families, turning our conference room into the “Passaic County Coat Factory”. Any coats remaining at the end of the drive were donated to a local church.
